Tierra del Fuego 1891 10c Carmine Rose Earliest Known Useage. Scott Unlisted, SG1

This stamp pre-dates the previous earliest known usages of April 1891. Brian Moorhouse's opinion was that this may be a test usage (although the stamp appears to have been affixed to an envelope at some point...). A unique item and an important addition to a serious TDF collection. Thin, hinge remnant and paper adhesion to reverse. Supplied with original Stanley Gibbons' stock card from the 1980's and 2016 Moorhouse certificate.
