Issued in October 1951 to celebrate the 'Week of the Wing' and the 50th anniversary of Santos-Dumont's flight around the Eiffel Tower. In December the Brazil Philatelic Club produced engraved facsimiles to celebrate their 20th anniversary. These were applied to souvenier sheets but 530 overprinted stamps were held back. A full set of punched ANBC specimen stamps, including all listed shades plus shades of the 50r and 500r (not listed in Scott but catalogued in RHM). There were multiple printings of these stamps over the period of issue and the the specimen overprint can be found in a wide variety of fonts, inks and placements.
