Various notations and authorisation initials in the margin including: "Central vignette correct for 2,000,000 stamps of 3 cent value = 20,000 pulls", "Plate and colour OK". Note unusual and very decorative engine-turned frame in the lower margin. Both large and small security punch holes throughout. Some separation in places but overall intact. Evidence of staining and most gum removed, the result of water damage following the bombing of Waterlow's premises in London during WWII.
