At first glance this would appear to be the die proof for either Scott 59 (1901) or 67 (1901-02) but note the numerals are in the style of the 1900 issue. The die was prepared for a 40c value in 1900 but never issued. Engraved by the South American Banknote Company, printed on glossy paper and die sunk onto beige stock card. Tape adhesion to reverse.
