Costa Rica 1892 Coat of Arms 10p Brown M Mint. Scott 44 & 44a

These stamps are often mis-described with the brown on yellow paper (44a) being sold as the higher value stamp. The brown on pale buff (44) was printed in 1892 whereas the yellow paper variety comes from the 1899 printing and was never circulated. Good gum on both examples. Hinge remnants.
